Bears WR Brandon Marshall is 100 percent following January hip surgery
Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall underwent arthroscopic hip surgery in January. The recovery period for him has come and gone, and Marshall is ready to get back to football. He got his first chance on Tuesday when he practiced for the first time since the operation. Marshall said, "I'm 100 percent now. I'm ready to go."
Marshall was heavily limited during Tuesday's practice, and the team will continue to take it slow with him before ramping up his activity during next week's mandatory minicamp. Marshall said by training camp, "I'm going to be out there flying around."
Marshall said his hip had been affecting him for two years. That statement should open some eyes, considering he posted the best season ever by a Bears wide receiver in 2012. It's a tall task, but a fully healthy Marshall has a shot at topping those numbers. He's a top-five fantasy WR.
