Packers like what they are seeing out of TE Jermichael Finley

Packers tight end Jermichael Finley @JermichaelF88 put up a disappointing line last season of 61 catches, 667 yards and two touchdowns, and he was almost cut during the offseason. But all of that's behind him as he heads into his contract year. And according to Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, Finley is preparing himself well for a 2013 rebound.
"I think Jermichael looks excellent," McCarthy said via ESPN.com. "He has put weight back on. He's back to where I like to see him, the playing weight that he's playing with. He's stronger. He's playing with more confidence. ... I really like the offseason that Jermichael has put together so far."

Fantasy Analysis:

Finley wanted to become leaner last year; now he's putting the weight back on. Whatever works, I guess. Finley is one of the more frustrating tight ends to own in fantasy because his size-speed combo teases us with how good he could be, but he has never really put it all together, whether it be because of injuries, drops and/or the lack of a solid rapport with Aaron Rodgers. Finley is just 26 years old, so he still carries a sizeable amount of potential. And he could stand to see a larger role in this year's Packers offense that is without Greg Jennings. But make sure you draft him as a TE2. That way, you won't be too dismayed when Finley finds another way to leave us wanting more.
