Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles knows he will be catching more passes

A dual-threat running back has always been at the center of Andy Reid's offenses. Now that he is the head coach of the Chiefs, Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 knows that he will have a lot on his plate this season, and he wants to be as successful as some of Reid's previous running backs.
"I'm like (Brian) Westbrook and (LeSean) McCoy as far as I fit into (Reid's) offense," Charles said ".... I definitely need to do more studying and knowing the scheme of the defense, especially playing a position like wide receiver. ... Last year, I didn't have any catches out of the backfield. I feel like this year, it will be more."

Fantasy Analysis:

Charles caught 35 passes last year, so it's not like he is totally unfamiliar with how to be a receiver. But yes, he will see that number rise, probably to somewhere between 60 and 70. The hint that he will play out wide is interesting as well. All of this helps increase Charles' fantasy value. He should be taken in the first six or seven picks of a standard draft.
