RB Jamaal Charles says Chiefs' offense 'might be the best thing that ever happened to me'

Adam Teicher of the Kansas City star wrote a story about Chiefs running backs Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 and rookie Knile Davis @BoobieKnile_Era on Saturday. Whoever wrote the headline to the article used a poor choice of words, referencing those two as being in "competition" with each other. Davis may be Charles' heir apparent, but there is no competition here Charles is the man in the Chiefs' backfield. His teammates know that. Head coach Andy Reid knows that. Charles knows that. And Charles' expectation is that he will be a perennial Pro Bowler in Reid's offense.
"This offense might be the best thing that ever happened to me," Charles said. "I think this offense will get me open. They're going to throw me the ball more. I think I'll continue to stack Pro Bowls on Pro Bowls if I can stay healthy."
Charles has made it to two Pro Bowls in his first five seasons.

Fantasy Analysis:

This is kind of a continuation/tie-in to what I wrote about Charles on Friday. Charles, if he can indeed stay healthy, is likely to set a career high in touches this season with maybe as many as 70 receptions included. He is No. 6 on my personal RB ranks. Davis will be a handcuff who should see most of his work during times when Charles just needs a breather.
