Ravens cut RB Vonta Leach

Unable to come to an agreement on a restructured contract, the Ravens have parted ways with fullback Vonta Leach @vleach44. The team wanted to work out a new deal with the standout blocking back to lower his salary and cap figure, but Leach wanted to stay with his current terms. Fourth-round rookie Kyle Juszczyk is expected to take over as the guy who paves the way for Ray Rice @RayRice27 and Bernard Pierce @BPierce_30.

Fantasy Analysis:

Leach had no direct fantasy value -- he touched the ball 57 times during his two years in Baltimore -- but he was the game's best lead blocker last season, according to Pro Football Focus. He has been a first-team All-Pro for three years running. Leach spent five seasons in Houston before coming to the Ravens and played a significant role in some very successful years for Rice and Arian Foster. The next team that signs him will definitely see an improvement in their running game. Conversely, I won't overreact to what Leach's departure means for Rice and Pierce, but it does hurt their fantasy values a little bit. We'll see how Juszczyk fills Leach's shoes.
