Buccaneers are 'very high' on WR Kevin Ogletree

Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune lists wide receiver Kevin Ogletree @KOforPrez as one of five players to watch during the team's mandatory minicamp this week. Cummings writes that the Bucs are "very high" on Ogletree, and that he has "flashed a lot during offseason workouts." Ogletree is vying to become Tampa Bay's No. 3 wide receiver, behind Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams. But he will face competition from incumbent Tiquan Underwood and the inexperienced trio of Chris Owusu, David Douglas and Eric Page. The Bucs signed Ogletree to a two-year contract in March.

Fantasy Analysis:

Somebody's been watching a lot of tape from the Cowboys' first game of the 2012 regular season. That fluky three-touchdown performance is the only reason I could think of as to why the Bucs would be legitimately excited about Ogletree. Unless their coaches are just spouting off hollow compliments about players to reporters, but that never happens with coaches, right? Even if Ogletree wins the No. 3 WR gig, he should be forgotten during fantasy drafts.

Kevin Ogletree was the most consistent receiver during the Cowboys training camp last year. There were injuries to Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and the always targeted Jason Witten which left Tony Romo with more faith in Ogletree than the other injured receivers. After this breakout game you saw his production drop due to the number of times he was targeted. This youngster has blazing speed and always finds a way to get behind the secondary and hopefully Josh Freeman will use all of that to his advantage. Keep your eye out for this guy! You can't catch what's not thrown your way!
