Broncos RB Willis McGahee makes it to mandatory minicamp, expects to start

Hakeem Nicks wasn't the only fantasy-relevant player to make his presence known today after skipping voluntary OTAs. Broncos RB Willis McGahee reported on Tuesday. According to Lindsay Jones of the USA Today, McGahee said he didn't skip those OTAs by choice; he was forced to miss them due to some family obligations. McGahee also said he expects to be the team's starting running back on Sept. 5 versus the Ravens.

Fantasy Analysis:

If that's really what he thinks, Willis has a big surprise waiting for him. Montee Ball is team's assumed lead rusher, and he is being put on the fast track to start right away with Ronnie Hillman being the third-down back. Either McGahee or Knowshon Moreno will be released prior to the regular season, but chances are it will be McGahee. His age and fatter salary lower his odds of playing for the Broncos again.
