Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson impressing many in minicamp

Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson @ceeflashpee84 has "it." He is a special talent with physical abilities that are rare even among NFL receivers. Those abilities have been on display during minicamp, and according to ESPN's Kevin Seifert, at least a half-dozen people have told him that Patterson has looked very impressive.
Teammate Greg Jennings has also been impressed with the rookie, and he singled out one trait, which he called "definitive step," that he never wants Patterson to lose.
"I remember coming out [of college], I had that definitive step," Jennings said. "That kind of gets washed out because everything they teach you is that they want everything to look the same. The definitive step starts to kind of fade away, but that's what creates that separation. I just told [Patterson}, do not lose that.
"Sometimes what makes a player what he is, is the thing we try to take away. It comes natural. That's a gift. You can't really teach that. He has it."
Patterson has also been displaying that 4.33 speed he showcased at the NFL Combine.
"If you see the back of his jersey, you might want to stop running, because it's over," Jennings said.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Vikings are still aware that Patterson remains raw, and he won't be given a big role early on. His speed and agility will expedite his progress, but he will be someone for most in re-draft leagues to simply watch, not draft. Flashes of brilliance will be spliced into what will probably be a season of learning more than anything else for Patterson.
