Browns WR Josh Gordon: 'I've got a lot to prove'

Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon @JOSH_GORDONXII met with the media today and discussed his two-game suspension for a substance-abuse policy violation.
"I'm definitely still trying to regain our front office's trust, our team's trust, just to prove that they can count on me," Gordon said. "... I need to apologize to the team, Browns fans, the coaching staff here, my family and friends. This hurt a lot of people who are dealing with it, but I'm definitely planning to move on from it."
Gordon has had his troubles with prohibited substances before. He tested positive for marijuana three times while in college. This suspension is due to a positive test for codeine, which Gordon attributed to a cough medicine he used to combat strep throat.
"It's something that is in the past that is still going to gloom over me for a long time," Gordon said. "But I've still got a long way to go, a lot to prove to the fans here, to the people here."

Fantasy Analysis:

Gordon sounds contrite, but hopefully he understands the magnitude of the penalty he faces if he tests positive for a banned substance again. Gordon will return in Week 3, and he presents really good value as a WR4.
