Don't expect to see Redskins QB Robert Griffin III in any preseason games

Now that Robert Griffin III @RGIII has been cleared to practice, playing in actual games is next. Well, not so fast.
ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote Tuesday "it still would be a major surprise if [Griffin] played in a preseason game based on Mike Shanahan coaching history and the thoughts of some in the Washington Redskins organization."
Griffin is less than eight months removed from right knee surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL.

Fantasy Analysis:

Oh, boo. I mean, this is totally the right call by the organization, but it's kind of a downer for fantasy owners, because we want to see how Griffin looks in a live game before drafting him. As is, glean as much as you can about Griffin's health in practice reports and go from there. Even without playing time in August, I would consider RGIII a top-eight QB. If his knee stays copacetic, I would personally draft him in front of Romo, Luck, Kaepernick, and Stafford.
