Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew cleared to practice; WR Justin Blackmon on PUP list

Recent updates on Maurice Jones-Drew @Jones_Drew32 and Justin Blackmon @JustBlack81 made it sound like both would be ready for Jaguars training camp. In actuality, only one of them will be.
Head coach Gus Bradley announced Tuesday that running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who is coming back from Lisfranc surgery on his left foot, has been medically cleared for training camp. Bradley said Jones-Drew will get "some reps," but the larger focus will be on getting him to Week 1 without a setback.
Bradley also confirmed that wide receiver Justin Blackmon will start camp on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list. He underwent offseason groin surgery, but general manager David Caldwell said a few days ago that he expected Blackmon to be ready on the first day of camp. Veterans need to report to Jaguars camp by July 27.

Fantasy Analysis:

Between this and what I've already written today about Arian Foster and Robert Griffin III, it's clear that "caution" is the word of the day. Blackmon shouldn't be on the PUP list long. He won't be eligible to play in a regular-season game until Week 5, so this preseason period will be very important in getting him prepared for his October return. He's a WR5.
Much like RGIII, MJD probably won't play much, if at all, during the preseason. That's kind of been his modus operandi in recent years, even when he was healthy. But the fact that he has been cleared now bodes well for his chances to be at full strength when the games matter. Jones-Drew is a rock-solid RB2, possibly a low-end RB1 in deep leagues.
