Browns OC Norv Turner wants to dial up 300 carries for RB Trent Richardson

A quick examination of history told us that Trent Richardson is going to be pretty busy in Norv Turner's offense. And Turner basically confirmed that to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer on Tuesday. Turner said that even in the NFL's current pass-happy climate, he thinks his stud running back will carry the ball 300 times this season.
"If that player is your best player, then I think it's probably a good thing to have him in the game and give him the ball," Turner said. "So I would hope Trent would have that many carries. That means he's playing healthy and playing at a pretty high level.''
Turner also said Richardson looks good after letting his shin strain heal, although he won't take many hits in training camp. And he said Richardson can be great like some of the other running backs he has coached, including LaDainian Tomlinson and Emmitt Smith.
"Just watching him and seeing him against [the Chargers] when I came here in October and then watching the tape, yeah, he's that type of runner," Turner said.

Fantasy Analysis:

Turner loves to get the most out of his running back, and the Browns should rely on Richardson, their best offensive player. It will raise his injury risk but also his fantasy potential. Richardson should be a top-10 pick.
