Buccaneers WR Mike Williams signs 5-year extension

The Buccaneers and Mike Williams @Mikebuc19 have agreed to a five-year extension that will keep him in Tampa Bay through his age-31 season. According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Williams is now working under a six-year contract -- he had one season left on his rookie deal -- worth a total of $40.25 million with $15 million guaranteed.

Fantasy Analysis:

Williams hasn't been a dominant wideout, but the compensation is pretty fair for the production from Tampa Bay's No. 2 WR. Williams has yet to accrue a 1,000-yard season, but he had 996 yards last year, and he has scored a total of 21 touchdowns in his first three years. He also hasn't missed a game. An average season of about 900 yards with seven touchdowns would be WR3-worthy. But with wide receiver being such a deep position this year, you can get Williams in the WR4 range, and that is a bit of a steal.
