Texans RB Arian Foster lands on PUP list; Saints WR Marques Colston will join him

At an overly basic level, there are two kinds of stories when it comes to players being placed on the training-camp Physically Unable to Perform list: You have the likes of Percy Harvin and Jonathan Stewart, whose availability for the start of the season, much less the start of camp, is very much up in the air.
Then there are guys who are just getting some extra time to heal up as their teams would rather be safe than sorry. That is the case with Texans running back Arian Foster @ArianFoster and Saints wide receiver Marques Colston @MarquesColston.
Foster suffered a calf strain in May and was expected to be back for the beginning of camp. That's not what will happen, but head coach Gary Kubiak said Thursday that Foster will be on the field "in a couple of days."
Saints head coach Sean Payton said today that wide receiver Marques Colston will be on the PUP list when New Orleans holds its first full-team practice Friday. Payton said Colston is being bothered by a foot injury and will be out for as much as a week.

Fantasy Analysis:

I'd say that Foster's injury is more concerning because he's been dealing with this calf strain for about two months, so I'm a little surprised he is not 100 percent yet. And he is the more valuable player for fantasy owners. Colston is a model of consistency; you know you are going to get about 1,100 yards and 7-9 touchdowns. Even in his age-30 season, he is a rock-solid WR2. Foster, however, is a top-5 overall pick.
Don't change your projections for either player as of yet. If Foster does indeed return in a couple of days, and Colston does indeed practice next week, this will be a non-issue.
