Ravens re-sign FB Vonta Leach

It turns out that Vonta Leach just took a seven-week break from the Ravens. After the Ravens cut Leach on June 11, the two sides have joined forces again, Head coach John Harbaugh informed reporters of the re-signing Monday. Leach received a two-year deal. Financial figures were not made available immediately.
Leach is a three-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro. According to Pro Football Focus, he was the NFL's top fullback and top blocking fullback last season. The Giants, Dolphins, Texans, and Chiefs showed varying levels of interest in the 31-year-old.

Fantasy Analysis:

Leach doesn't contribute much in the box score, but it's obviously good news for Joe Flacco, Ray Rice @RayRice27, and Bernard Pierce @BPierce_30 to have his plowing prowess back in Baltimore. And really, this offense could use any good news right now.

This helps soften the blow of Dennis Pitta -- Leach will be a key blocker for BAL but if Torrey Smith doesn't break through as hoped they will rely even more on Vonta Leach.
