Saints sign WR Steve Breaston

The Saints' wide receiver depth chart is rather thin behind Marques Colston @MarquesColston and Lance Moore, so they have beefed it up a bit. New Orleans signed former Chief and Cardinal Steve Breaston to a one-year contract Monday. Breaston, who turns 30 years old this month, caught just seven passes in 10 games last year with Kansas City. He was a 1,000-yard receiver with the Cardinals back in 2008.

Fantasy Analysis:

Breaston's addition is needed with Colston still unable to practice because of a foot injury. Breaston could fit in Sean Payton's offense, but as he hits 30, I don't think he will be much of a fantasy factor. Colston, Moore, Jimmy Graham, and running back Darren Sproles remain the clear top four targets in the Saints' pecking order for targets. Breaston will be competing against the likes of Nick Toon, Kenny Stills, and Saalim Hakim for a roster spot. None of those three have an NFL catch on their record.
