Rams HC Jeff Fisher thinks RB Daryl Richardson will be his starter

There is no doubt that the Rams are holding a camp competition to see who opens the season as their starting running back. And a very important voice in that decision gave his two cents Tuesday. Head coach Jeff Fisher said he thinks Daryl Richardson "comes back as our starter."
Richardson played the role of second fiddle to Steven Jackson very well last year as a rookie. He ran 475 yards on 98 carries and caught 24 passes.

Fantasy Analysis:

I expect Richardson to open the season as St. Louis' starting back, too. For one thing, Isaiah Pead @iPead has been suspended for Week 1, and Richardson is an easy choice to start that game over fifth-round rookie Zac Stacy. Past that, I suspect the Rams will rely on multiple runners every week. Fisher has already said he might use a backfield committee, and it makes sense. While Richardson is probably the best player, he is not an every-down back. Richardson is a fine mid-round selection, but don't get too carried away with Fisher's words from today. This backfield will create some headaches for fantasy owners.
