Bills still trying to decide whom their goal-line RB will be

Bills head coach Doug Marrone said a couple of months ago that he would like to use running back C.J. Spiller @CJSPILLER in all types of situations, including down by the goal line. But it appears the first-year coach also wants a player he can formally call his goal-line back. Marrone said Monday that the team is "still trying to find that role."
If the day's intrasquad practice was any indication, Spiller's goal-line touches may be few and far between. The Bills ran four series down by the goal line, the first of which was converted by 235-pound rookie Kendall Gaskins. Then veteran Tashard Choice @tchoice23 came onto the field and scored in two of the final three series.

Fantasy Analysis:

Tashard Choice is still in the NFL? Man, could have fooled me. The Bills really struggled deep in opponents' territory last year, scoring just five rushing touchdowns within the 10-yard line. Choice is wider than Spiller or Fred Jackson @Fred22Jackson, but he has proven that bigger is not always better by the end zone. Hopefully Marrone sticks to his earlier words about treating Spiller as a complete player. He doesn't have a big build, but he's the team's best offensive weapon by a large margin. If the Bills want to score points -- no matter the on-field scenario -- their best bet is to give it to Spiller.
