ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter cited fellow ESPN contributor Sal Paolantonio by tweeting that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will start the team's first preseason game.
This should be expected as it would have been much larger news had QBs Nick Foles or Matt Barkley supplant Vick in the short-term. Vick still has plenty of detractors after a very rough 2012 season. The former Virginia Tech star likely needs many live reps in head coach Chip Kelly's new system. It will be interesting to watch how this unfolds, especially if Foles or Barkley plays really well.
