Dolphins OC Mike Sherman isn't ready to pick a starting RB
Lamar Miller should be the Dolphins' starting running back all season. Fantasy owners understand this. Daniel Thomas probably even understands this. But offensive coordinator Mike Sherman isn't ready to say the second-year player out of Miami will indeed be that player. Sherman said Sunday that the competition between Miller and Thomas for the starting job is "pretty close."
Oh, that's rich. Miller is faster and versatile than Thomas. He is a better player in a number of ways, and the Dolphins have been preparing to make him their starter since Reggie Bush left town. Pay no mind to what Sherman says. Continue drafting Miller as an RB2. Thomas is a handcuff whose value may be limited to just goal-line chances.
