Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles carted off; X-rays negative

Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 suffered a foot strain in Monday's practice, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. FFToolbox's No. 2 fantasy RB in PPR left practice and was then carted off the field, but X-Rays came back negative. Charles missed virtually the entire 2011 season with a knee injury, but returned in robust fashion last season.

Fantasy Analysis:

The reports started in the 9 o'clock hour central time about Jamaal Charles heading into the Chiefs medical tent. "Doesn't look serious," Kansas City Star beat writer Adam Teicher said on Twitter. Eight minutes later, a more ominous update from Teicher: "Charles is now leaving field on a motorized cart." Not long after that, Teicher tried making it clear that fans understood Charles wasn't simply taking a call from nature. "This situation with Charles is an Injury, however serious. This isn't a bathroom break, folks." As of now, that's all we know about Charles' injury, vague as it is. What we do know is that the most important player in Kansas City's offense is the explosive running back. No doubt, we're watching this one closely, but at least we're not talking about a season-ending type situation. Rookie Knile Davis @BoobieKnile_Era currently sits as the second RB on the Chiefs' depth chart, something all Charles owners should know regardless.
