UPDATE: Ravens WR Deonte Thompson has sprained foot; TE Ed Dickson uncertain for Week 1

More injury news regarding Ravens receivers.
Wide receiver Deonte Thompson has been diagnosed with a sprained left foot and he will not play this week against the Falcons. Both Thompson and running back Bernard Pierce @BPierce_30 suffered injuries during Thursday's first preseason game versus the Buccaneers, but Thompson's injury is more serious. Pierce came away with a knee sprain, but head coach John Harbaugh said he still might play Thursday (Update: Pierce was already back at practice Monday). According to the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson, Thompson is expected to be back in time for the team's third preseason game.
Meanwhile, tight end Ed Dickson @EdDickson84 doesn't know if he will be back in time for the start of the regular season. Dickson has been sidelined for a little more than a week due to a slightly torn hamstring. The team initially said Dickson would miss "a week or so," but he might actually be out for numerous weeks.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Ravens seem to be too optimistic with the recovery timetables of their injured players. That appears to be the case with Dickson, and don't be surprised if Thompson isn't healthy in a couple of weeks either. It can take quite a while to fully heal a sprained foot. Neither Thompson nor Dickson are worth drafting right now. I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but the fantasy prospects of Ravens' receiving corps look pretty rotten.
