Chiefs HC Andy Reid says RB Jamaal Charles could practice Tuesday
Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles sustained either a foot strain or foot sprain earlier today. A foot sprain could theoretically mean a mid-foot sprain or a Lisfranc sprain. But head coach Andy Reid, doesn't think Charles has one of those more debilitating injuries. He said that Charles could be practicing again as soon as Tuesday. The Chiefs publicly called Charles' injury a strain. But according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the team is privately calling it a sprain.
Hopefully we find out more about this situation soon. Or Charles can get take the field tomorrow and extinguish this small fire. Anybody who watched the Chiefs' first preseason game on Friday had to be very pleased with how Kansas City used Charles. He was on the field for 14 plays, touched the ball eight times, caught three passes and scored on a goal-line carry.
