Report: Chargers WR Malcom Floyd out until at least Week 1
Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd doesn't have any torn ligaments in his right knee, but he will still miss a significant amount of football. According to ESPN's Ed Werder, Floyd is not expected to play again until the regular season. Even then, he might miss a game or two.
The Chargers said Monday night that Floyd suffered a strained knee in practice. He has sent his MRI results to other specialists, including Dr. James Andrews, to confirm that initial diagnosis.
Still, Floyd and the Chargers have to be feeling very lucky after what his knee injury was initially suspected to be. Here's hoping the second and third opinions don't reveal anything more serious. Floyd is a WR5 in fantasy drafts. We'll update this story as it warrants.
