Can you name the Steelers' starting TE right now?

I bet not. That's because three of the team's top four tight ends are all in various stages of hurt.
Heath Miller is the unquestioned starter if healthy, but he is still recovering after he tore three knee ligaments late last season. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac, the Steelers are hoping Miller doesn't have to go on the regular-season Physically Unable to Perform list.
"If all goes according to plan, the Steelers will take Miller off the PUP list before the start of the regular season and have him practice for three weeks before activating him and deciding when to let him play in a game," Dulac wrote.
That's similar to the track the team took with running back Rashard Mendenhall last year. He was coming off an ACL tear and didn't play until Week 5 of the 2012 season.
Elsewhere on the depth chart, backup Matt Spaeth @MattSpaeth89 underwent surgery Monday for a Lisfranc sprain. He will miss 8-to-10 weeks. David Johnson had arthroscopic surgery recently performed on his knee. He hopes to be back before the regular season begins.
So, the answer to the title question is David Paulson @dpaulson22. The Oregon product caught seven passes in 16 games last year as a rookie.

Fantasy Analysis:

In other words, feel free to avoid this position entirely. Dulac adds that despite all of these injuries, the Steelers aren't planning to add a free-agent tight end. Miller is a very deep TE2 in fantasy. I think he, much like Mendenhall last year, will be fighting pains, strains and sprains throughout the season.
