Giants WR Hakeem Nicks will play this weekend

Hakeem Nicks has such an appropriate surname. He has missed time during each of his first four seasons with basically every type of injury you can incur below the waist. This summer alone, he has been slowed by a groin strain and recovery from a knee scope. But we have proof that Nicks is about as healthy as Nicks can be: He will play in Sunday's preseason game against the Colts.
It will be Nicks' preseason debut as he was held out of the Giants' first preseason game against the Steelers last week. Nicks returned to practice on Aug. 6 after getting over that groin strain.

Fantasy Analysis:

This is where watching preseason games and taking note of a player's performance actually matters. I don't know how long Nicks will play, but I want to see him run his routes, explode off the line, cut swiftly, etc. And most importantly, I'll be watching to see if Nicks' night ends because of another injury. The story on him is simple: His medical history scares off most fantasy owners, and he has fallen into the fourth or fifth round of most drafts. But if he can put together a 16-game season, he has legitimate top-10 WR upside. Why can't that wishful season take place this year?
