Redskins QB Robert Griffin III is 90 percent ready, according to his backup

Amid the noise surrounding Robert Griffin III @RGIII these days, mostly centered around this "controversy" regarding his relationship with Mike Shanahan, one thing remains very clear: He continues to build to a Week 1 start. According to his teammate Rex Grossman, Griffin is almost game-ready, but not quite.
""I've talked to him ... he feels like he's ready to go," Grossman said of Griffin. "I would say he's 90 percent capable of doing everything."

Fantasy Analysis:

Grossman suffered an ACL tear earlier in his career, so he is someone who can speak on the topic of player recovery from such an injury. Grossman said he felt healthy right at seven months post-surgery. Griffin surpassed that date in his own recovery last week. It also should be noted that different players recover at different rates, and medical science has improved since Grossman tore his ACL nine years ago.
In all, Griffin is right on track to be starting in Week 1, and he is a top-10 fantasy QB.
