Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins has a concussion
The Texans will now play a waiting game with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins . The rookie suffered a concussion during Saturday's game against the Dolphins. Head coach Gary Kubiak said after the win that Hopkins is "fine," but he will have to pass the league's concussion testing and be cleared by an independent neurologist before he gets on a football field again.
Yes, other than having a traumatic brain injury, Hopkins is just fine.
Now, he could come back from his concussion as quickly as Colts tight end Coby Fleener, which would probably be the best-case scenario. It's more likely that Hopkins misses at least one preseason game. We will let you know if his symptoms linger for an extended period of time. Hopkins is a WR4 in re-draft leagues.
