Bills 'concerned' QB Kevin Kolb's career might be over; team signs QB Matt Leinart
Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb has suffered at least three concussions in his NFL career, the latest coming Saturday against the Redskins. And according to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, the Bills are "concerned Kevin Kolb's concussion may be career-ending and they're proceeding with that in mind.
With Kolb and E.J. Manuel currently injured, the Bills have signed quarterback Matt Leinart. The former first-round pick worked out for the team on Sunday.
Leinart is 30 years old, and we all know he has been a massive bust. But at the moment, he has a shot at starting in Week 1. He and Jeff Tuel will vie to be the team's No. 3 quarterback, but that player may get the call if Manuel's knee hasn't healed properly and if Kolb needs a long time off -- and it sounds like he will. I think the Bills' passing game is off limits for now.
