Redskins QB Robert Griffin III 'cleared' by surgeon for season opener

Robert Griffin III @RGIII received the all-clear signal from Dr. James Andrews regarding the quarterback's surgically repaired knee. The two met in Tampa before Washington's final preseason game against the Bucs with Andrews observing RGIII during pregame warmups and presumbly examining the knee. So, does this mean RGIII will indeed be the Redskins starter for the regular season opener? Like it would be that simple.

Fantasy Analysis:

Head coach Mike Shanahan said that Dr. Andrews had a couple of concerns and a conversation between the coach and QB would take place before next week. The evidence suggests Griffin will be under center for the opener, but we'll have to wait a bit longer to officially find out. Owners drafting over the next 72 hours should at least plan for a rainy day by drafting a viable backup QB option in case Griffin sits,
