Jets claim RB Alex Green off waivers
And the yard sales begin. The Jets have added to their thin crop of running backs by claiming former Packers running back Alex Green, who was released on Saturday. Chris Ivory is locked in as the Jets' starter, and Bilal Powell is playing behind him, but the Jets had plenty of room for another running back after they cut Joe McKnight, and Mike Goodson was suspended for the first four games of the season. Green's agent, Michael Hoffman, broke the news on Twitter.
Green will fight for a third-down role. His fantasy value is extremely low unless Ivory sustains an injury, which, granted, isn't difficult to imagine.
