Kicker news: Bills sign Dan Carpenter

I promise I am not related to kicker Dan Carpenter in any way. I don't live near him, we didn't go to the same schools, and I don't consider him a favorite player of mine. It's just that, for some reason, the past two posts I have written about kickers have been about Dan Carpenter.
Carpenter, who was cut by the Dolphins and later the Jets in August, is continuing his tour through the AFC East. He was signed by the Bills on Monday after Buffalo's rookie kicker, Dustin Hopkins @Dahop5, suffered an injury during Monday's practice.

Fantasy Analysis:

Hopkins may still play Sunday against the Patriots, but Carpenter is nice insurance. He had some very good years in Miami, but a man who has been on three teams in the past three weeks isn't worth starting in fantasy leagues this week.
