Jets WR Santonio Holmes should play Sunday, will be limited
Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes should come back Sunday from the foot injury that cost him the final three months of last season. But not all the way back. A source tells ESPN New York's Rich Cimini that Holmes is expected to play against the Buccaneers as long as he doesn't suffer a setback before game time, but his snaps will be limited. Holmes put in a couple of limited practices this week and is listed as questionable on the injury report.
I'll be glad when Holmes suits up Sunday, just so this whole drama surrounding Holmes and his return -- When will he play again? Will he miss the first four games? Is he milking the injury? -- dies. For what it's worth, I said during the FFToolbox Week 1 preview podcast on Thursday that Jeremy Kerley is the one Jets receiver I'd choose if I had to choose one. But I hope I never face that scenario.
