Ravens WR Deonte Thompson making progress with foot injury
In a Baltimore Sun article about Jacoby Jones ' sprained MCL, there might be a crumb of positive news for the Ravens' receiving corps. Aaron Wilson writes that wideout Deonte Thompson has "made progress" with his sprained left foot, which has sidelined him since the first week of the preseason.
Thompson is a track athlete who drew some buzz during the summer as he competed for the team's No. 2 WR spot. His bid came to an end in early August, and it sounds like he is still a ways away from being activated. Keep tabs on his rehab as he has the physical skills to be a big-time playmaker. Marlon Brown is expected to start alongside Torrey Smith for the time being. He should be added in most leagues.
