Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has sprained foot; QB Tony Romo has bruised ribs

The Cowboys should have their starting quarterback for their next game, Sunday versus the Chiefs. Whether they will have their top receiver will be determined by MRI results.
Dez Bryant @DezBryant has been diagnosed with a sprained left foot. He underwent X-rays on Monday, which came back negative. He then underwent an MRI, the results of which are still unknown. Bryant said today that he expects to play in Week 2, and head coach Jason Garrett said he doesn't think Bryant's injury is "too serious," and that he observed Bryant "walking around OK today." It was reported that Bryant didn't have his foot in a walking boot today. Instead, he was wearing flip-flops.
Tony Romo suffered a rib injury on Sunday night against the Giants, but his X-rays came back negative for any fractures. Sources have told ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer that Romo isn't expected to miss any practice time this week.

Fantasy Analysis:

I don't care that Bryant said he expects to play; I wouldn't expect anything less from a competitor. It all comes down to the MRI results, which should come to light on Tuesday. You'll remember that DeMarco Murray @DeMarcoMurray missed six games last year because of a sprained foot, and running back Lance Dunbar @Dunbar_CDB5 is trying recovering from a sprained foot suffered on Aug. 17. At the very least, Bryant won't practice much if at all this week.
Romo suffered cracked ribs in 2011, and he said Monday that he "wouldn't put [this latest injury] in that class." He is a low-end QB1 this week.
