Eagles RB LeSean McCoy suffers sprained ankle in Thursday's loss
Eagles fans and fantasy owners had to be fearing the worst Thursday when running back LeSean McCoy was tackled to the turf during the second quarter and immediately grabbed his right leg while writhing in pain. McCoy stayed down for a few minutes before suddenly getting up and jogging off the field under his own power. He limped toward the locker room, but returned in the third quarter and broke off a 41-yard touchdown burst with no sign of any limitations. He called his injury a sprain after the game.
Eagles beat writer Jeff McLane originally tweeted that McCoy said he had a high ankle sprain, but he corrected himself shortly thereafter as McCoy actually said he had a right ankle sprain. If it's just a typical, low ankle sprain, McCoy should be ready to roll in 10 days versus the Broncos.
