49ers OC Greg Roman: 'We want to get Frank Gore going'

After turning in one of his best seasons in 2012, Frank Gore is off to his worst start since becoming the 49ers' starting running back in 2006. Gore has rushed for just 60 yards on 30 carries so far, and he gained just 16 yards on nine carries last week during a blowout loss to the Seahawks. The 49ers are a run-first team, and offensive coordinator Greg Roman knows Gore's success goes hand in hand with the team's success.
"We definitely want to get Frank going," Roman said Thursday. "Frank Gore is one of the best backs in the league and one of our leaders. Frank Gore churning out those yards is going to be a big part of what we do this year."
Fullback Bruce Miller @BruceMill49er said, "That's our workhorse. He puts the team on his back and he carries us most of the time. To be struggling right now as a group ... it's not Frank. It's more us guys up front. We just have to execute better and start winning one-on-one battles and then we'll get it going."

Fantasy Analysis:

With San Francisco's determined additude toward its running game and a favorable matchup versus the Colts upcoming, Gore is set up for a big week. The Colts have allowed the sixth-most rushing yards and three rushing touchodwns through two games. Even with his early struggles, Gore is a low-end RB1.
