Ravens RB Ray Rice doubtful for Week 3, RB Bernard Pierce to start

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice @RayRice27 is listed as doubtful for Week 3. In his place, second-year back Bernard Pierce @BPierce_30 will start against the Houston Texans. Pierce has already been a big piece of Baltimore's offense. The former Temple runner already has 28 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown compared to Rice's 25 carries for 72 yards and a score.

Fantasy Analysis:

Rice's diminished role, which was largely downplayed by the fantasy community heading into the season, has been an underreported story after two weeks. We knew Pierce would receive a cut of playing time and a healthy dose of carries. At this point, Pierce was an absolute steal, going towards the middle rounds as one of the more appealing handcuffs. This isn't the easiest of matchups for Pierce, but if you've got him, he's a sneaky-good flex play.
