Jets expecting to be without RB Chris Ivory for a while

Much like with Miles Austin, hamstring injuries have been a consistent problem for Jets running back Chris Ivory @ivory_29 during his career. He dealt with them in 2010, 2012, and earlier this year during the preseason, and now he's faced with another one. Ivory strained his right hamstring after just four four carries for five yards on Sunday. It's the same hamstring that gave him problems in July and August. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, the team is "not expecting a quick rebound" considering how much time it took Ivory to recover from his previous right hamstring injury.

Fantasy Analysis:

Specifically, Ivory injured his hamstring in late July and wasn't ready to play until Aug. 17, the date of the Jets' second preseason game. So perhaps we're looking at a three-week absence here? It means a lot of Bilal Powell in the short term. Powell is coming off a game against Buffalo in which he gained 158 yards on 29 touches, and he should be the bell cow for the Jets this Sunday against the Titans. It's a so-so matchup, but the workload alone is going to put Powell on the RB2 radar. Keep in mind that running back Mike Goodson @GoodNplenty33 will come off his suspension after Week 4.
