49ers TE Vernon Davis will probably be game-time decision Thursday
49ers tight end Vernon Davis was held out of Sunday's game against the Colts to give him more time to be ready for Thursday's NFC West showdown in St. Louis. But the Niners won't decide if Davis is actually ready or not until shortly before kickoff. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Tuesday that Davis "will probably be a game-time decision." Davis' ability to play is uncertain because of a hamstring strain he suffered in Week 2.
I think Davis will be active, but he's going to cut it close. Have a backup in place just in case. We'll let you know of Davis' official status on Thursday.
