Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, WR Danny Amendola will not play Sunday

Whether or not the Patriots and Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski's people disagree on his ability to play, this is what his fantasy owners want to know: He won't play Sunday night against the Falcons. He will be joined on the inactive list by wide receiver Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola as neither player traveled with the team to Atlanta on Saturday.

Fantasy Analysis:

So, there it is. You no longer have to worry about waiting on Gronk or Amendola this week. But considering both players were able to practice to some extent all week, a Week 5 return looks possible if not probable. With Amendola out, Julian Edelman @Edelman11 remains a solid WR3 in PPR leagues. Kenbrell Thompkins is coming off a two-touchdown game, but that looks like an outlier more than anything else. Thompkins hasn't topped four catches or 50 yards in any game this season. Aaron Dobson is even further off my radar, and you definitely shouldn't play tight end Zach Sudfeld.

Respectfully, I disagree. I think Julian Edelman remains a high end *WR 2* in PPR formats, as he leads the league in receptions. Also, with Gronk and Amendola both out, I see Thompkins and Dobson both as low end flex play, particularly Dobson in PPR. You can't deny volume, and he had 10 targets last week. All this is aided by the fact that ATL has a really poor pass defense.
