Browns QB Brian Hoyer partially tore ACL, seeking second opinion before any surgery
ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that sources close to the Cleveland Browns are worried that quarterback Brian Hoyer tore his ACL during Cleveland's eventual win against Buffalo Thursday night.
Hoyer adds a great dimension to Cleveland's offense as both a solid pocket passer with enough maneuverability to evade pass rushers. Unfortunately, that elusiveness may have cost him when he went down awkwardly to cause his injury. To his credit, Brandon Weeden did play relatively well to seal the win. He didn't turn the ball over and that's the key for a team with a limited offense. Hoyer looks like he gives this team a better chance to win.
