Bills QB E.J. Manuel injured and needs MRI, RB C.J. Spiller not 100-percent

Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel @EJManuel3 requires an MRI on his right knee after taking a big hit to his leg on a scramble up the sideline. In addition, running back C.J. Spiller @CJSPILLER did not re-aggravate his injury on Thursday night but was clearly not 100-percent and only saw two carries in the first half. A big touchdown run salvaged what would have been a poor statistical performance.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Bills really let this one get away from them. After a 10-0 start, Buffalo allowed 37 points in the final three quarters, including a huge 79-yard punt return TD just before the half. Losing Manuel would be a huge loss and severely hinder his development. There are a few plays per game where Manuel looks lost and makes poor decisions with the football. It certainly doesn't help that his best running back, Spiller, is also hurt and unable to play to the best of his ability. Luckily, Fred Jackson @Fred22Jackson has been excellent, returning close to his 2011 pre-injury form thus far.

Iam bummed out ..... It looks like this year will be a 50/50 split run with Fred Jackson and Spiller. I drafted him 3 overall and now wishing I went with Shady!

I was wondering where the article on David Wilson being a sleeper is? I congratulated Matt prematurely as I honestly thought he wasn't going to amount to an RB type caliber in one of his threads, but now that thread is nowhere to be found. I think it would be nice if FF sites would leave posts up even when they are wrong. Take credit when credit is due, but al

so sulk in your own sorrow. We can't all be right with our picks. Heck, I messed up when I drafted DRich as my RB in a 16-team ppr league just because he was a starting RB and another manager who had no RBs yet took Welker so I attempted to get revenge when my game plan was to draft Woodhead. We alll make em so man up

DRich was my RB3 sorry. I chose Joique Bell over Wilson as a nice sleeper pick and ended up getting him. He has helped out in a pinch, especially in ppr.

Hey Matt, I was wondering what you thought of picking up Andre Brown? He is available in my 16-team league and he is due to come back week 10. We have deep benches in our league. DO you think he is worth a flier?

The article is still posted on the left hand side of all FF pages. http://www.fftoolbox.com/football/article.cfm?article_id=1385 "2013 Breakout Player" As I mentioned in a couple other comments, I make no apologies for writing the Wilson article. Every site and every fantasy owner liked Wilson a lot and it only amplified after Andre Brown was injured. There's a reason he was going in the second round of drafts after Brown's injury and that's with or without the hype surrounding him. I'd pick up Brown if you've got the roster spot. Da'Rel Scott obviously isn't a big commodity to the team if they cut him so if Wilson is really out and Brown is back, he should get his shot.
