With RB David Wilson injured, Giants re-sign RB Da'Rel Scott
David Wilson 's disappointing season continued Sunday, although it wasn't his fault. He scored his first touchdown of the year, but didn't play past halftime due to a neck injury. The Giants' next game is in three days. With Wilson's ability to play in doubt, and Brandon Jacobs representing the only experienced running back on the roster, the team needed to add a player familiar with the offense. They did that on Monday by re-signing Da'Rel Scott, whom they released Tuesday.
Scott was seeing a lot of playing time on third downs and in passing situations. Wilson didn't practice Monday. If he is able to play Thursday, he would be a flex option. If he's out, Scott and Jacobs would split the work on the road against the Bears. You want no part of that duo for this week.
