Report: Falcons fear WR Julio Jones out for season

Just in case the Atlanta Falcons scenario wasn't grim enough, FoxSports' NFL Insider Jay Glazer is reporting the team fears wide receiver Julio Jones @juliojones_11 will miss the remainder of the season with a right foot injury. Jones caught eight passes for 99 yards in Monday's loss to the Jets, but he sat out briefly in the second half and was seen hobbling out of the x-ray room. Jones leads the NFL with 41 receptions and all wide receivers with 580 receiving yards.

Fantasy Analysis:

Glazer reports the initial exam revealed a season-ending injury, but Jones will go for a second opinion on Wednesday. The worst case scenario would be crushing for a 1-4 team hoping to rally after their bye week . The Falcons are currently without injured running back Steven Jackson and wide receiver Roddy White @roddywhiteTV remains limited with an ankle and new hamstring injury. Harry Douglas @HDouglas83' fantasy value would shoot up into WR3 range by default. Matt Ryan @M_Ryan02's would not.

Julio isn't going anywhere, but if you have a Chris Ivory or Tavon Austin rotting on your bench, then by all means pick up Douglas, T. Williams, Jeffrey, etc., to insure against him missing some time.

Julio isn't going anywhere? Reports suggest he is done for the season.
