With RB David Wilson's future uncertain, Giants will also be without RB Da'Rel Scott for few weeks

It's been an eventful few days for Giants running backs. It's been a mixture of good and bad. The good is that Brandon Jacobs @gatorboyrb ran for more than 100 yards Thursday night against the Bears, shocking the world and sending fantasy owners scrambling to their waiver wire. Jacobs should be picked up now, because he's basically the last man standing in the Giants' backfield.
The biggest bad news came Friday when David Wilson @4stillRunning told reporters that doctors think he might have spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal column that could put his season in jeopardy. And during the Bears game, backup running back Da'Rel Scott @DaRelScott_RB suffered a strained hamstring. His agent told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport that Scott is expected to be out for a few weeks.

Fantasy Analysis:

These injuries have pushed raw, seventh-round rookie Michael Cox up to No. 2 on the depth chart. Expect Big Blue to pluck another runner from off the scrap heap, much like they did with Jacobs a few weeks ago.
Spinal stenosis has ended careers. Yet, Wilson said he remains optimistic that he will get better news when he gets a second opinion on his neck Monday. We'll have an update on his status then, but the initial reports are very scary.
These injuries also mean Jacobs is New York's clear lead back for the foreseeable future. As a Giants fan, I can't believe it's gotten to this point with the running game, but weird things happen when you are 0-6. Jacobs had a great game on Thursday, and he has a cake schedule upcoming, including the Vikings in Week 7. But don't overrate one game from a 31-year-old player who had not done anything significant since 2011 before Thursday. Even in his expanded role, I can't yet endorse Jacobs as something more than a low-end RB2. The Giants are still a pass-first offense, especially with their wretched defense, and Jacobs doesn't contribute as a receiver.
The fact that we are even talking about Brandon Jacobs having legitimate, weekly fantasy value is just bonkers.

Not exactly the high praise and projection I was hoping for. I also picked up Jacobs off the scrap heap and was forced to start him for BYE week reasons. Going forward I will have to decide between Jacobs and Lamar Miller. Opinions ??? Or I could play them both and sit Antonio Brown, or V.Jax, who have been matchup plays at my flex.
