Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles on pace for huge workload, small injuries taking toll

Through six games, Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles @jcharles25 has 147 touches. At that pace, he will have roughly 394 touches (304 carries and 88 receptions) and over 2,000 combined rushing and receiving yards. All this comes with a price as Charles has extensive blisters on his toes and many other nicks and scrapes that come with the territory as a featured back.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Chiefs one of two undefeated teams left standing in the NFL. The other team is their AFC West rivals, the Denver Broncos. In fact, the Chiefs have to play the Broncos twice in three weeks, in Weeks 11 and 13. That Week 11 contest will be something special if both teams are still unbeaten. Back on topic though, Charles' toes are reaching legendary status. He won't even let the media see them apparently. The larger point being somebody needs to help take the pressure off Charles, whether it's Cyrus Gray @CyrusGray32 or Knile Davis @BoobieKnile_Era. Either one or both, it doesn't matter. The Chiefs are playing great, but the offense is nothing without their best player. The offensive line is also doing a terrible job protecting Alex Smith, who already had a penchant for hanging onto the ball a beat too long. Kudos to Kansas City though, they're playing at an elite level.
