Report: Packers WR Randall Cobb out 6-8 weeks with fractured fibula

Green Bay's victory in Week 6 reminds one of the saying win the battle but lose the war as wide receiver Randall Cobb @rcobb18 reportedly suffered a fractured fibula. The injury is expected to keep the slot receiver out 6-8 weeks, meaning Cobb be out until Week 14. He left in the second quarter after Ravens safety Matt Elam tackled Cobb low with a helmet to the knee.

Fantasy Analysis:

Where to begin. For starters, don't cut Cobb. He's valuable enough to warrant stashing for teams heading in the right postseason direction. Next, get to know second-year receiver Jarrett Boykin @BoyKinHeCatch. The 6-foot-2 target went 41 yards with his only catch against the Ravens. Depending on the status of James Jones, Boykin could be the Packers No. 2 receiver and have immediate WR3 status for fantasy owners. Overall, Jermichael Finley moves up the passing game food chain and Jordy Nelson should receive more looks. As for Aaron Rodgers, he'll make due.

This makes no sense. Adam Schefter said GB's expectation was that Cobb would miss 2 weeks which is consistent with what McCarthy said when he referred to "multiple weeks." This "source" evidently tipped off the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and there's nothing else proving who it is or what their credentials are pertaining to the situation so it sounds like nothing more than unsubstantiated rumors at this point. The Packers are fairly forthcoming with injuries so until they announce it, I'm not panicking and I own Cobb.

a fractured fibula will not heal in 2weeks time, so he is likely to miss 6-8weeks
