Patriots WR Danny Amendola does not practice Wednesday

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola @DannyAmendola did not practice Wednesday. The former Texas Tech receiver took a huge hit to the head in his most recent game to the Saints. He went down hard and did not land very gracefully near the sidelines. He will need medical clearance to play this week against the Jets.

Fantasy Analysis:

With all due respect to Amendola, the guy can't stay healthy. At this point, you could compare him to current teammate Austin Collie. Given the Patriots numerous receivers available every week, Amendola's absence is providing great opportunities to guys like Kenbrell Thompkins, Aaron Dobson and Julian Edelman @Edelman11. Amendola is simply too risky to trust when he does re-insert himself in the lineup. Let him play in two straight games before giving him another shot.

All i can say Pal is that if you took the shot Amendola took on Sunday, your sorry fanny would still be down,,,,,its so easy to take shots at players from the safety of your keyboard....

I dont think anyone is taking any shots here. Simply stating the obvious fact that this dude is constantly hurt. Is there any other NFL player who can lay claim to missing 4 games this year and leaving 2 others mid way through after being hurt?

All the patriots receivers are targets because everyone hates them so much, including amendola so anytime they can take a shot they are gonna take it

I won't count this season (his 5th season), but in his first 4 seasons, Amendola has played 42/64 games. For a few years, I have been calling him "Soft Tissue Danny" because he pulls muscles all the time. Some players are more prone to having these types of injuries (M. Austin, B. Sanders).

You can't ingnore Amendola's talent...but you can't ignore is injury risk every single week.

Maybe NE receivers are always hurt because no one wants to say that Tom Brady is not as good as everyone says he is. He can stomp his feet and make faces at all the dropped passes, and some are definitely catchable, but I have seen numerous thrown behind receivers across the middle. There's a reason why no one gives him a high five. They leave him hanging because he leaves them hanging.
