Bills head coach actively limiting RB C.J. Spiller's playing time

Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller @CJSPILLER is being limited on the field according to head coach Doug Marrone. Spiller only played 14 out of 68 offensive snaps Sunday against Miami. The fourth-year back only has 22 carries over his last three games and his yardage has been on the decline over the last month. Marrone cited Spiller's injured ankle as the primary suspect. "The injury has everything to do with it, not some of it," said Marrone. It's also possible Spiller will need to sit this week. Tashard Choice @tchoice23 would see more playing time if Spiller needed time off.

Fantasy Analysis:

Spiller was a first-round lock during the preseason but has been a serious disappointment due to his dwindling playing time and an excellent first half of the season from Fred Jackson @Fred22Jackson. Buying low on Spiller might not be a bad strategy considering Jackson's injury history. The former Clemson back carries with him a significant amount of risk though as he has shown very little thus far.

I wish they would just sit him for a game or two, and let him get back to 100% healthy. What's the point of having a stud RB if you can't even use him but a couple plays per game.
